Noble houses from the 16th to 18th century determine the town appearance. In the middle of the village is the magnificent town hall built in 1590, one of the loveliest timbered houses in the Palatinate. Unique is the fortified cemetary from the 14th century. The fortification walls are consolidated by steeples with arrow slits. The church steeple is also provided with arrow slits.

The church of St. Martin was built around 1300, the top of the steeple is from the 16th century, the choir has gothic cross vaults and remainings of wall paintings from the 14th/ 15th century.

Picturesquely situated next to the Palatinate Forst overlooking the upper rhine valley next to the German Wine Route Doerrenbach is one of the gorgeous villages in the Palatinate.
