Flemlingen has 400 inhabitants and an area of 3,9 km². It was first documentally mentioned in 767 as "Flamaringer marca".

The catholic church of Saint Alban is a baroque nave type church built in 1759 with prosperous baroque interior. The high altar was built around 1700, paintings from 1781 show Saint Alban, on the side altar is a lifesize Mary from about 1450, a stone pulpit dates back to 1595, baptismal font from 1734 and a wooden door with late gothic iron mountings.
