Burrweiler has 860 inhabitants and an area of 6,3km². Itwas first documentally mentioned in 1275 as "Bubenwilre".

The caholic church is a late gothic building from 1525 with interior from renaissance times, pulpit and baptism font from 1605, medival steeple with baroque top, gravesite for the House of Dahn.

Burrweiler has numerous buildings from the 16th - 18th century.
