German Wine Route: Essingen

Essingen has 2050 inhabitants and an area of 11,4 km². It was first documentary mentioned in 960 as "Ossingen".

The church of St. Sebastian is a baroque building.

The former church of St. Wendelin is a small late gothic building with two floor choir steeple, bearing wall paintings of the 15th century.

The town hall is a renaissance building from 1590.
