German Wine Route: Insheim

Insheim has 2200 inhabitants and an area of 8km². It was first documentary mentioned in 782 as "Ansilheim".

The protestant church has a gothic steeple built in 1518, the nave was built in 1745.

The catholic church is a neo romanesque building from 1912.

The towns hall was built in 1733, using the remaining renaissance basement.
