Altdorf has 750 inhabitants and an area of 6,4 km². It was first documentally mentioned in 991.

The protestant church has a remaining late gothic steeple, the nave was built in 1772.

The former rectory is a framework building from the 16th century with some extensions from the 18th century.

The town hall is a framework building from 1583.
