Billigheim - Ingenheim is a village with 3900 inhabitants and an area of 23 km².

 

District Billigheim:

Billigheim was first documentally mentioned in 693 as "Bolinc-haime".

The protestant church has remnants of different architect styles and construction ages, the basement of the steeple was built in the 12th century andextended in the 16th century. The choir dates back to the 14th century, the pulpit was built in 1689, the baptismal font in 1628.

One gate of the former town fortification wall is well preserved.

Billigheim has several framework buildings of the 17th and 18th century.

 

District Ingenheim:

 

Ingenheim was first documentally mentioned in 1264 as "Ingenhem".

The protestant church was built in 1822.

Ingenheim has several timbered houses built in the 18th and 19th century.
