The winegrowing region Palatinate (Pfalz) enfolds the surroundings of the German Wine Route with the center zone and the outskirts of the wine route eastwards to the rhine rift on the changeover to the fruit and vegetable producing eastern Palatinate, the so called "Vorderpfalz".

All villages in this list have a wineproducing percentage of agricultural acreage of under 50% but although they do not fully depend on vineyards their exposure is high enough to overtop the cold air masses that accumulate in the low lying rhine rift on the east.
