Rohrbach has 1630 inhabitants and an area of 9,3 km². It was first documentally mentioned in 693 as "Raurebacya".

The Simultaneum church was built in late gothic architecture in 1484.

Rohrbach has numerous prosperous framework buildings from the 16th - 19th century.
